This homework assignment sheet is still accurate. The first day I always cancel the homework via a new post in an attempt to train you to check the blog each night. Stay tuned for further announcements through new posts.
Ok! Question: I'm guessing we have to do #s 15-17 on page 23 due Monday, I think, so if so, I don't understand it when it says "then describe how each number in your ordered list can be obtained from the previous number." I put the numbers and fractions in order, but then what? Help! Jenna W <3
Ok, now I'm confused on what kind of table to use on 16 and I'm completely stumped on problem 17! Help! I mean I don't understand what it's asking. Help!!!!! Jenna
Oh, and I've finally figured out my first post. What I did is I converted everything into sixths then put it in order, I then decided that it means that you need to ___ by __, well you'll have to figure out the blanks, but you need to find the difference between each number. Does that make any sense? Kind of, alright. But, I do still need help on what I said before. Thanks for helping me! Jenna <3
Answer to first Q: It means how you get to the next number from the previous one by using addition subtraction multiplication or/ and division. I used all multiplication for it. Ex: Previous number 1/2, next number is 1/8. You would do 1/2*1/4 which would equal 1/8, the next number. The example is a little switched around because I made the numbers go down instead of least to greatest but I hope you get the idea. :)
Answer to 2nd Q: I just used a plain old rectangular table with columns and rows. I did that on 17, too. I added width of base and total number of cubes as columns on 17 and just filled the info in for them. Hope I helped! :)
Oh my gosh! im having the same problem! i dont know if i should answer 1c with hour 1 and 2 or just one of those two hours. Livvy and Sophie, i am just writing hour 1 as the answer to the hour that sold the least amount of popcorn. see u at school tomoro! :)
