1)  An airplane is descending into DIA.  At 12:00 noon the airplane was at an altitude of 20,280 ft.  It descends at a rate of 2,500 ft per minute.

Part A:
Make a table, graph and equation for this situation. The table and graph should show times from 12:00p.m.to 12:10p.m

Part B:
If the runway at DIA is at an altitude of 5280 ft, then at what time will the airplane touch the ground?

2)  If I toss three coins at one time what are the odds of having exactly two heads?

3)  Taylor Swift's tour bus gets 13 miles to the gallon if it drives at 55 miles per hour.  The price of gas on the road is $3.45.  Taylor is driving from LA (after her date with Tim Tebow) to Les Vegas which is a total distance of 250 miles.  After her show in Vegas, Swift hears that Tebow has dinner with Lindsey Lohan so Taylor, in a jealous fit of rage, drives her tour bus back to LA at a speed of 95 miles per hour (don't worry all you Swift fans, the feds give her a police escort the whole way).  At that speed the bus gets 8 miles per gallon.

Part A:
How much time does Taylor spend driving in her bus each way?

Part B:
How much money does she spend on gas each way?
(Hint: how many gallons does she use each way?)

Part C:
What is the ratio of time saved to extra money spend for her frantic trip back to LA?
