Yes you have homework tonight!

Just becauseI can't post answers to a question on last nights homework, doesn't mean you don't have homework tonight. Mathletes can either do 8 to 12 mathletics problems OR the assigned ACE questions.

Can't post ace 1 and 2 today

There has been an update to the program I use to make the videos I post and I don't have administrator rights to my computer to install it. I will get the problems up as soon as I am able.

Sorry

Homework note for 11/18

Thank you Alena for emailing me on this one. The homework due tomorrow is Investigation 3.4. You have had the chance to play the integer product game, so you should have no problems in answering the questions. While we are talking about changing the schedule...Since the 5th graders are walking through tomorrow, we will NOT have check-up 2.

Mathletes quick review of integers

The multiplying and the dividing algorithms are the same! It's nice that way. So...
(pos = positive, neg = negetive)

Dividing:
  • pos / pos= pos
  • neg / neg = pos
{if the signs are the same, then the answer is pos}
  • pos / neg = neg
  • neg / pos = neg
{if the signs are different, then the answer is neg}

Homework for the night of 11/16

The homework due on Tuesday is 4-11, 33 in the third ace section. This assignment was originally due last Friday before the schedule change. The assignment sheet will follow soon.

Multiplying/dividing algorithm:

  • pos * pos = pos
  • neg * neg = pos
  • pos * neg = neg
  • neg * pos = neg
